  • This 8-hour Competent Person level course covers the OSHA 1926 Subpart L Scaffolding Standard, ANSI A10.8 and EM 385-1-1 Section 22.. This course emphasizes Best Practices to enable supervision to efficiently plan for and implement safe and productive scaffolding activities.
  • Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to develop an understanding of 29 CFR 1926 Subpart L and EM 385-1-1 (2024) as it relates to supported scaffolding, describe the importance of following regulatory standards, define the responsibilities of a competent person, identify proper hazard controls, identify proper scaffold erection/dismantling procedures, describe training requirements for end user and erectors and dismantlers.
  • Attendance for the entire session is mandatory.
  • Assessment is based on participation and demonstration of understanding.
  • There are no prerequisites for this course.
  • No technology is required for in-person attendance. A working computer with a microphone and a camera "on" is required for the virtual sessions.
